Understanding What Is Quick Detox

Detox, or detoxification, is the removal of toxic substances from the body. The liver and kidneys are natural detoxifiers. In recent times, stress and pollution levels coupled with unhealthy eating habits have increased the risk of heart attacks, diabetes and arthritis. To keep the body functioning properly and to ensure good health, it is advisable to follow a detox program to rid your body of unhealthy toxins that could lead to serious health problems.

"Quick Detox" is a short program that helps detoxification of the body by ridding it of deadly toxins. The program is spread over a period of 3 days and begins with a decrease in the consumption of coffee, tea, alcohol and other beverages (especially those containing high levels of sugar). Most liquids, other than water, should be substituted with natural fruit juices. Breakfast should be light on the stomach, followed by a light lunch such as pasta. Dinner should consist of a salad with an oil-free dressing. Exercise is also recommended to enhance energy levels.

The second day of the program involves replacing juices with water. Breakfast must include fresh fruit, followed by a green salad for lunch with an oil-free dressing and steamed fish with vegetables for dinner. Yoga should be practiced along with the usual gym exercises and stretches. The final day of the program consists of eating fruit and drinking water all day. This may seem a little stressful, and it is advisable to remain less active. In case of listlessness and fatigue, a banana snack would not hurt. Once the 3-day program has been completed successfully, a person usually bounces back to good health. Quick Detox is really good for you.
